T-Pain Tells Critics To Blame MJ, Not Him

So after the world unanimously sh*t on T-Pain’s Auto-Tune filled remake of the Michael Jackson classic, “P.Y.T (Pretty Young Thing),” the habitual sunglass wearer took to the web to explain himself and demand redemption. Writing an extended tweet, Pain stated that he made the song at the request of Michael Jackson and Quincy Jones. “For all the [people] that hate [me] for ruining “PYT” just stop listening to my sh*t. But if Quincy Jones tell[s] you he want[s] you to do something, no matter how much [sh*t] you know ur gonna get from the dumb a$$es in the world, you god damn do it,” explained the Freaknik creator. T-Pain went on to make a valid point, noting that the general public was not always so kind to Michael Jackson before his passing, but now that he’s deceased, a lot of people are quick to defend him. He then elaborated and detailed his account of meeting MJ, writing, “the f*cked up thing is everybody being so kind to mj after he’s gone, but how can you wish a man to rest in peace when you never gave him peace in a life time? I had the pleasure of meeting MJ and when I left his house I got a call from his lawyer telling [me] that MJ wanted me to remake that song. So everybody that’s being overly disrespectful, you don’t have to like me at all, but you also can keep that bullsh*t to yourself.”

Unfortunately for T-Pain, the Internet has pretty much become the avenue for everyone to air out their “bullsh*t,” so I doubt people will stop complaining about how wack the cover of “PYT” is. At least T-Pain knew he’d get some harsh criticism for the song. T-Pain ended his rant style, tweeting, “in conclusion, if you don’t like what I do then stop listening to it, if somebody tells you that my sh*t is wak, why would you go and try to find it? Just stay off my timeline and my d*ck and get YO sh*t together, obviously I’m str8.“

The T-Pain and Robin Thicke remake of “P.Y.T.” is scheduled to appear on Quincey Jones’ tribute album Q: Soul Bossa Nostra, due out November 9th. So what does everyone think about the song?
