The Doppelgangaz meet The Diplomats. Now repeat that ten times over. Anyway, the New York duo of The Doppelgangaz (Matter Ov Fact and EP) are linking up with Mr. Capo himself, Jim Jones, for “Jail Weight.” The track is set to appear on The Gangaz forthcoming project titled Parts Unknown. Jones and Gangaz together actually kinda works, even in spite of the initial “WTF” when seeing those two on the same track. Check out The Doppelgangaz’ “Jail Weight” after the jump.
Jim Jones links up with Trav for a new track entitled “Radio.” This isn’t the first time the two have been on a track together, you may remember Jones and Trav teaming up on “Can’t Tell Bout” and “Whole Thing.” Check out Jim Jones’ “Radio” after the jump.
In case you haven’t heard, 2015 kicked off with the return of Harlem’s beloved Dipset. The group dropped a stellar cut in “Have My Money” and followed that up with their “Victory” freestyle, which is equally dope. Their return has sparked some nostalgia and that’s all gravy because we here at iHipHop often find ourselves reminiscing about simpler times. Chief Keef, who was probably no more than eight years old when Dipset dropped their iconic Diplomatic Immunity record, is nevertheless paying tribute to the supergroup. Keef has dropped a track entitled “Dipset.” The tribute to Cam and company is set to appear on Keef’s upcoming DJ Holiday-hosted Dedication mixtape. Check it out after the jump!
In case you haven’t heard, The Diplomats are back. The return of OG Dipset members Jim Jones, Freekey Zeeky, and Juelz Santana together so far has been promising with the Harlem squadron dropping the awesome “Have My Money” loosie and now a gloomy, aggressive, and downright murderous freestyle over The Notorious B.I.G.’s “Victory.” Many have interpreted the lyrics as shots at JAY Z and his website, Life + Times. Listen to The Diplomats’ “Victory” freestyle after the jump.
When Dipset announced they’d be reuniting again and dropping a mixtape many, including myself, didn’t think much of it. It was a classic case of ‘I’ll believe it when I see it.’ And now, I am a believer as Dipset have shared a new track “Have My Money” on Funk Flex’s radio show. “Have My Money” features OG Dipset members Jim Jones, Freekey Zeeky, Juelz Santana, and of course Cam’ron. Listen to the new Dipset track after the jump!
First of the mon… well, technically it’s the second of the month but you get the idea. And that means one thing for Harlem rap superstar Cam’ron: dropping the latest installment in his 1st of the Month EP series. If you’ve lost count, he’s currently up to five. The five track EP features guest spots from Wiz Khalifa, Hell Rell, and Smoke DZA. You may stream it below.
Dipset’s Jim Jones has a new mixtape that just dropped and to promote the tape Capo released a video for “Still Repping” which features GS9 member Rowdy Rebel. The video also features Bobby Shmurda. Download the new mixtape We Own The Night Pt. 2: Memoirs of a Hustler and peep the vid after the jump.
Cam’ron’s 1st of the Month is due out (appropriately) October 1st and he has recently shared “Snapped” from it. The track was first heard as a snippet on Cam’s Ghetto Heaven Vol. 1. Now Cam has made the full track available with 2 Chainz’s full verse intact. Check out the track after the jump.
Yesterday was the 10th Anniversary of Dipset’s Diplomatic Immunity, and I have to admit it had me feeling a little emotional, and nostalgic. Cam’ron’s Harlem group started an era and sound that could never be done again. Read More
On Monday April 16, 2012, Jim Jones held an exclusive listening session for his upcoming mixtape, “Vampire Life 2: F.E.A.S.T. The Last Supper” at his studio in downtown Manhattan.
