Talib Kweli Gets Robbed, Then Gets His Stuff Back Via Twitter

Now tell me this story doesn’t prove how ridiculously small the world can be.  While performing in performing in Melbourne, Australia recently, Talib Kweli had his laptop, phone, and fresh Yankees hat swiped from his dressing room.  A distraught Talib sent out an S.O.S. message via Twitter asking anyone and everyone to help him find his stuff.  Randomly enough, the culprit (named Amir Bashir) was caught on surveillance camera, and he was recognized by none other than Vin Rock of Naughty By Nature, who happened to know Bashir personally.  Vin tweeted out to Kweli that he had his stuff, and a few hours later he rolled through to meet Talib with all of his missing gear (except his fresh Yankees hat).  It’s a crazy world we live in today.  Check out below for a bit of an exchange between Talib and Vin Rock, a picture of Amir Bashir, and Talib’s Twitter account of the entire incident.

Last month, 9th Wonder and Talib Kweli -- under the pseudonym Indie 500 -- were graciously joined by West Coasters Problem and Bad Lucc. Today, they're sharing the powerful visuals from their latest track, ''Which Side Are You On'', featuring another pair of guests in Tef Poe and Kendra Ross. Furthermore, Kweli revealed the concept behind ''Which Side Are You On'', as well as it's moving video. Kweli says the song ''pays homage to those murdered by the police over the past year and those who have taken a stand'' and that the video -- which contains footage from the Ferguson Rocks and Ferguson Is Everywhere fundraiser -- features Tom Morello, Bun B, Common, Outernational, Cornel West, Pharoahe Monch, Jasiri X, M-1 of dead prez and K'Valentine all of whom ''participated in the August concerts''. Super-producer 9th Wonder and all-around stand-up emcee Talib Kweli, better known as Indie 500, are finally sharing the first offering from their collaborative project in "Pay Ya Dues," which features a pair of West Coast rappers, Problem and Bad Lucc. No word as to when their highly-anticipated debut project will drop, but alls we know is "Pay Ya Dues" is the jam and the production, handled by The Soul Council's Eric G, is dope as hell. Talib Kweli is looking to get your weekend started right with a new jam. The track, entitled "F**k the Money," arrives just as Talib announced the forthcoming release of an album of the same name. Talib also clarified that the album could drop at any given time -- even today. Looks like Talib is getting in on the surprise release hype!
