His sentencing date is less than a week away.

We’re less than a week away from Tekashi 6ix9ine’s sentencing (Wednesday, December 18th). The end to a long-running and chaotic trial — which yielded snitching, jail time, and the Nine Trey Bloods’ demise — next Wednesday will decide the fate of one of rap’s more polarizing figures in recent history. Given ample amount of time to reflect on this vital date, Tekashi penned a letter to the judge, Paul A. Engelmayer.

In his letter, Tekashi doesn’t necessarily make excuses for his transgressions, but discusses how if given a second chance, he would dedicate part of his life to helping other troubled youths avoid his committed misconducts. With eloquent phrasing and direct messaging, 6ix9ine’s letter, on the surface, presents the veneer of someone who is remorseful, afraid, and intent on making the most out of a second crack at life — if given the opportunity.
