Eyes so bright they owe society a light bill/but not me, yeah I keep it dull/my gun G-Mobile, how it ring up in your skull” – Styles P

I’m still perplexed by Def Jam signing Sheek Louch this late in the game.  That’s no hate, I love D-Block, but I can’t fathom Sheek selling enough to please the suits over at Island/Def Jam.  They probably thought that since his 2008 track “Good Love” made some decent moves on the chart while he was still indie, he’ll be able to do even better with some more promotion money behind him.  Whatever the case may be, Sheek stopped by Hot 97 with fellow Yonkers-natives, Styles P and Bully, to drop a few bars and promote his upcoming album Donny G, which is ‘scheduled’ to drop on December 7th.

SP “The Ghost” stole the show from his opening lines, although Sheek also spit some hot ish (“sour diesel and vanillas/y’all sweet as Fruitellas/I make jazz with this hammer like Winston Marsalis“).  Bully does his thing as well although that flow sounds swagger-jacked from Jay-Z on “Run This Town.”  Make sure to look out for Sheek’s Guerilla Warfare mixtape hosted by Green Lantern which drops October 1st.
