Wale has been enjoying a prolific 2019 so far. Releasing an abundance of singles, including this week’s ode to the fairer sex, “BGM,” the MMG rapper returns today with “Hallelujah,” receiving a hand from Buddy and A$AP Ferg.

Over a zealous, snare-dominated production, the three featured artists take turns lacing the dope beat with dexterous flows — all of which showcases their unique qualities while highlighting each other’s presence. 30-seconds in, and you’ll have no choice but to clap your hands along.

“Hallelujah” is off the soundtrack for the upcoming Epix show, Godfather of Harlem, starring Forest Whitaker. (We earlier posted about Rick Ross, Swizz Beatz, and DMX’s “Just In Case,” which will be featured in the show as well.) Seeing how the show is presumably based around and in Harlem, it’s fitting that The Hood Pope himself blessed the dynamic instrumental.
