50 Cent is relentless. Lately he’s been leaving the rap game behind and has been segueing into the movie world.

One of his many upcoming movies, Things Fall Apart, is being produced through his Cheetah Vision Films company and not shockingly has him cast as the main character.

What is shocking however, is the fact that in preparation for the role as a football star who is suffering from cancer in his senior year of college, 50 has decided to shed 65 pounds.

The films co-producer, Randall Emmett, confirmed the news saying:

Fifty is in the process of losing 65 pounds for the role.”

Mario Van Peebles has signed on to direct the film which he also stars in along with Lynn Whitfield, comedian Mike P and Steve Eastin.

This move officially no longer makes Curtis just a rapper, if anything rap is the least of all his money’s. Like I said before…Relentless

nickialbum

Young Money’s own Nicki Minaj recently spoke on her success and her debut album. Nicki explains how she’s not worried about not getting guest spots on her album, but instead wants to showcase Nicki. She says:

“I’m sure they will. You know what’s funny — I’m thinking I’m gonna have more features than I even wanna put on my album. I’ve gotten great feedback from artists I look up to and never thought I’d work with. They’re already in line to be on the project. But it’s like, ‘Do I want to put out a debut album with a thousand features on it or do I wanna finally showcase Nicki?’ I’m not worried about features at all because I’ve been blessed to come in the game and work with top-notch artists from the inception of my career.”

Nicki also goes into how she isn’t in any rush to put out her debut and wants to take her time on the album, saying:

“With the album, just like with my mixtape, I never like to rush it. With the album, I think it’s more important that people get accustomed to seeing a female rapper again. Before I drop an album, people need to come out and see. People don’t even know what a female rapper does. We’re so not used to seeing it. It’s nonexistent in categories. We don’t get nominated. I need to work [the people] up to accepting a female rapper again and accepting my style and all of that — then the album will come. Honestly, I’d love to put an album out this year, but I don’t believe in rushing things either. We’ll see.”

I think Nicki’s going to wait til after Drake drops his debut, that way she can soak up the excess limelight for her debut.

ghostdisneyy

Speaking of rappers who turn into movie stars, Ghostface Killah, a man of many talents, is now being featured in none other than a Walt Disney movie, yes, Disney.

Starks appears in the film, When In Rome, but of course is playing himself as a DJ. His role is only about a scene long, but money is money especially when it’s coming from Disney.

He recently spoke about his new venture with Angela Yee on Shade 45 and explains how everything went down with him and Disney, which you can peep below.

Also don’t forget Wu Massacre drops March 30th, so go cop that!
