The Peyton Manning Era in Indianapolis is over. Starting next year for the first time in 13 seasons, the Colts will have a brand new starting quarterback.
Instead of taking a chance on the future Hall Of Fame QB’s rehabilitated neck; who has 399 touchdown passes, 4 regular season MVP Awards, a Super Bowl ring, and over 54,828 passing yards on his resume; the Colts’ owner, Jim Irsay opted not to pay Manning his $28,000,000,00 (just wanted to write all those zeros) roster bonus, and sever ties with the man who turned that franchise from a laughing stock into a perennial powerhouse.
As many athletes before him, getting traded/released doesn’t mark the end of his career, just a new beginning. So which team should he start that new beginning with? What team do you think would benefit from his services the most?
Down below is a list of teams that could use him, who don’t have a franchise quarterback in place, (say what you will, but the Jets’ Mark Sanchez and the 49ers’ Alex Smith are NOT a franchise quarterbacks).
