Manhattan’s own Wiki is a millennial by age, but raps at a level wise beyond his years, finding the 26-year-old artist widdling a flurry of metaphors and punchlines into cohesive storytelling. Wiki doesn’t subscribe to the new fad of releasing as much music as possible to get on or boost streaming numbers; when Wiki drops a project, believe it’s a calibrated decision. Today, he’s come through with his new LP, OOFIE — his first project in two-years.

Following his acclaimed 2017 No Mountains In Manhattan album, which received an 8.1/10 on Pitchfork, OOFIE furthers Wiki’s brand of deep introspection en route to crafting engaging music. Joined by an interesting supporting cast, including Your Old Droog and Denzel Curry, this 14-track effort is a testament to Wiki’s vision, and his inability, and presumed rejection, to bend to trends that would compromise his integrity.

Wiki is an artist’s artist. On OOFIE, he continues showing the youth and the industry that gimmicks aren’t necessary when an MC has pure talent.
