Will Smith Shares Some Relationship Advice

So I guess we all enjoy a little romantic advice, especially when it’s from a celebrity. Will Smith sat down with Essence recently and talked about the key to a happy marriage. Will Smith discussed what makes a man happy. And he also said something extremely interesting. That the friend zone could lead to marriage? Read below…

If You Marry Your Best Friend, You’re Good
Every man wants to marry his homie, Will explained. A lot of women will impress them, but it’s the one they can always laugh with and be themselves with that will ultimately impress them the most. If you can be yourselves around each other, 100 percent of the time, and they can make you [laugh] like no one else can, you’ll never have a dull moment together.

All Men Need a Little Space
“If you don’t give your husband thirty minutes to himself when he first gets home, he’ll stop coming home,” Will told me, straight up. (You’re thinking, no way, right? I did too!) When I asked Will when a wife was supposed to say her piece, he responded, “anytime after that.” Will reminded me that everyone’s home needs to feel like a happy place, and it won’t if you’re “greeted with negativity” every time you enter the door. Touché, Will. Talk about a pause for the cause.

Focus on Balance and Excitement Always
According to Will and Jada’s way of thinking about marriage, maintaining a happy union isn’t just about making time for one another, it’s about making the time count too. Excitement and mystery are everything, he said. Surprise them, let them know you love them, laugh together – whatever it takes to put a smile on their face.

I’m always skeptical about advice, especially when it comes to matters of the heart. There’s no definitive answer to every situation, but I can give the man credit. He has been married for a good 13 years with Jada. The two pretty much keep their problems out of the tabloids.

Their track record is impressive so I can’t really knock it. Plus he’s not saying anything too groundbreaking or shocking. I just hope this doesn’t launch a matter of discussion for any other celebrities. After Tyrese, I don’t think I can take any more ridiculous words from celebrities.

Download Jaden Smith’s New Album CTV2

A mere day after his 14-year-old sister Willow dropped a brand new track featuring SZA, Jaden Smith returns the favor with a new album. Entitled CTV2, Jaden has made the entire project available via his very own music app. While the project is a brief eight tracks one particular track "Let It Breathe" clocks in at over ten minutes. Needless to say Jaden continues his reputation as a stream-of-consciousness, liberated spirit on the project (see previous releases like "Trophy" and "Melancholy" for reference). New Music: Willow Smith – “Female Energy” (Freestyle)

Judging strictly by her new track Willow Smith appears to be following in the creative footsteps of her older brother, Jaden. You may recall the recent transformation, of sorts, young Jaden has miraculously gone under. He's finding his voice in the music world, releasing strange and uniquely perplexing rap songs. From his cut "Trophy" to spitting morose bars over Pink Floyd's "Melancholy" the kid's got an interesting perspective on the world. So Willow is taking some notes, releasing "Female Energy", a freestyle that is equal balance introspective track and brilliantly imaginative songwriting. She just sounds so free on the song. Damn son, where'd you find this?! Jaden Smith continues his streak of delivering that heat with a video for "Fast". You may recall us posting the Jaden Smith track "Trophy" a week back, which was a surprisingly dope track from the 16-year-old actor turned rapper. In "Fast" we find Jaden Smith turning up in a parking lot and in the streets, furthermore showcasing his unrelenting carefree attitude. The track, you ask? It's got a banging beat and Jaden spits with a Migos-esque flow. Take that for what you will. Watch the video after the jump.
