Commemorating his debut album with a career highlight moment, Young Thug’s So Much Fun is officially Billboard 200’s number-one album.
Moving over 131,000 units so far, So Much Fun is Thug’s first number-one placement, and marks his most successful first week sales figures. Of the 131,000+ units, about 5,000 came from traditional album sales, with the remainder purely emanating from streaming. So Much Fun had the year’s fifth-highest streaming week; it marks the second-highest hip-hop streaming number, following Juice WRLD’s A Death Race For Love.
So Much Fun not only is a commercial success, but the 19-track album has also received critical acclaim; Pitchfork awarded it an 8.4/10, marking it their “Best New Album.”
