The jury is still out on the status of Eternal Atake.
It’s no secret that Lil Uzi Vert has been having a difficult past several months with his music career: In addition to announcing his retirement, the Philly artist has been embroiled in legal battles with his label and their representatives — mainly Don Cannon and DJ Drama in a partnership with Atlantic Records.
However, at the 12th hour, JAY-Z and Roc Nation came in to save the day, eventually performing some sort of legal/interpersonal gymnastics to get the aforementioned producer legends to let Uzi release his long-awaited project, Eternal Atake.
The jury is still out on the status of this release, but out of nowhere, Uzi just released a brand new single, “Free Uzi.”
