Even though Brown Boy dropped his album, Livin’ Shady, over a year ago, his new single “Superman” is creating a buzz. The song, which Brown Boy recues abused women from their abusive partners, broke into the Billboard 100 and is making waves on California radio. The former middle school math teacher, who previously released a couple of indie chicano rap album, hopes that the success of the new single will get fans to cop the album so they can hear a message everyone needs.

“I realize where I came from, kids are going to look up to me,” said Brown Boy, who grew up in rural Blythe, California. “I’m now in a position where I can encourage people to follow their own dreams like I did, but also make sure they have something to fall back on. This is an album parents can buy for their kids and listen to as well without worrying about hearing bad language. I stand strong on being positive.”

The album features appearances from Lighter Shade of Brown, NB Ridaz, Nino       Brown, Fingazz and Zapp. For more info, check it out here.
