Chamillionaire Off Universal?

So in an interview with engineer/producer Andrew Dawson with HipHopDX appears to reveal that Chamllionaire is off of Universal.  His third album Venom had been on the shelf for a minute.  Hopefully he will find a way to get his album out in a way in which everyone is happy.  According to Dawson:

  • “I’ve been working a lot with Chamillionaire, because I produced some tracks for him. He got out of his deal with Universal [Records], which wasn’t a good situation for either of them,” revealed Dawson. “Him and I have an active producer agreement that is now null and void because they got caught in the legal shuffle, but I’m like, ‘I just want the music to come out. Let’s find a way to make it happen.’ I was emailing him stuff back and forth when I was [with Kanye West] in Hawaii. Some big stuff will be coming out this next year, so I’m stoked to see it going.”

The A3C Festival & Conference and iHipHop Distribution are proud to announce their renewed partnership for the ninth installment of their annual compilation series. As reported by HipHopDX, A3C Volume 9 will also commemorate A3C’s fifteen year anniversary as a festival rooted in showcasing emerging artists from across the country.  The previous editions of the A3C compilation included numerous soon-to-be mainstay artist’s in hip-hop, allowing the series to receive recognition from a variety of outlets, with editors from Apple Music raving, “The A&R rep has done a commendable job, cherry-picking some of the most promising, would-be rap stars from countless wannabes.”
