Police authorities in Dearborn, Michigan have been catching some flack for not prosecuting a cop caught spiking brownies with marijuana. Cpl. Edward Sanchez admitted to confiscating marijuana from suspects and taking it home for personal consumption, according to the Detroit Free Press.

In an April 2006 call to 911, Sanchez is heard saying, “I think we’re dying. We made brownies and I think we’re dead. Time is going by really really really slow.” He also allegedly asked the 911 dispatcher what the score was on a Detroit Red Wings hockey game being aired that night, adding, “I just want to make sure this isn’t some type of, like, hallucination that I’m having.”

Obviously, the police department’s decision not to pursue a case against their former employee didn’t sit well with one City Councilman Doug Thomas, who vowed to follow-up on the issue.

“If you’re a cop and you’re arresting people and you’re confiscating the marijuana and keeping it yourself, that’s bad. That’s real bad,” said Councilman Thomas.

And you thought Snoop was the only one out there smoking other people’s weed.
