After officially dropping the “YBN” from his name following the group’s disbandment, Cordae is intent on furthering his promising solo career. With a Grammy nomination for “Best Rap Album” (The Lost Boy) and “Best Rap Song” (“Bad Idea) at the 62nd annual award show, the young rapper demonstrated a keen musical sensibility, and the fortitude to bring his dreams to fruition. Today, Cordae has returned — his first time under his recently-abridged moniker — with a helping-hand from Roddy Ricch On “Gifted.”
And not only have Cordae and Roddy linked in spectacular fashion, “Gifted” is officially the product of a newly-established three-headed goat, as Cole Bennett of Lyrical Lemonade has directed its official music video, as well.
