Definitive Jux Records, the premier indie label launched by Company Flow’s El-P in 2000, is looking for the best unsigned DJs, emcees, producers and bands. In a partnership with mtvU, MTV’s 24-hour college network, Def Jux is offering an EP deal to the best college acts.

The artist can join the competition by signing up at bestmusiconcampus  by December 14 to have a chance to have an EP released by Def Jux, have Def Jux artist Mr. Lif appear on the first single and have a video produced for rotation on mtvU and mtvU.com.

The top 25 entrants will be determined by mid-December, and beginning December 19th, the college audience will vote on their favorite acts, while will determine who will become “Def Jukie”.  Voting will end January 19th, 2007 and the winner will be announced at the end of the month. By the way, you have to be (or at least one member of the group) enrolled at an accredited college to participate!
