An Irish court has summoned Eminem to testify in a court dispute brought about by the cancellation of his 2005 Slane Castle show.

Officials at the High Court have issued a request for the rapper to give evidence as part of a legal battle among promoter MCD and its insurance companies.

The Michigan emcee cancelled the Sept. 17, 2005, concert as part of the Anger Management tour, citing exhaustion. The 80,000 tickets for the open-air gig had sold out within an hour.

Concert promoters MCD are now seeking $2 million compensation from three London-based insurance companies after they refused to pay up after the cancellation of the gig.

After this, Em might want to think twice before pulling out of a major show on grounds of exhaustion. Maybe next time he’s burned out, he’ll guzzle a couple of Red Bulls and keep moving.
