It’s Drake day. The superstar rapper releases his album “For All The Dogs.” Since he announced the album earlier this year, fans have been waiting in angst for it to drop. We had heard a lot of rumors about the project from other notable names like KD and Lil Yachty, saying that the project was one of Drake’s best and well, let’s dive into that.
From a sonic perspective, it’s certainly nothing out of left field. However, the features he welcomes on the project like J. Cole, Yeat, and Teezo Touchdown definitely influence the direction of the album. J. Cole slides on “First Person Shooter” while Drake drops catchy bars to tie up what is one of the standout tracks on the project; meanwhile Yeat and Teezo Touchdown add their respective sauce on “IDGAF” and “Amen.” It’s another success for the greatest rapper of this generation, and an album that will certainly top the hip-hop / rap charts for the remainder of the year.
