Following their successful collaboration on “Rich Baby Daddy,” Sexyy Red and Drake join forces once again on her new single “U My Everything.” Sexyy Red kicks off the track, dropping bar after bar in off-kilter cadence, something she’s becoming more and more known for in the rap world. Drake then steps in with a surprising beat switch, as he raps over Metro’s “BBL Drizzy” beat. To say the least, this is the best rendition of Metro’s beat we’ve heard yet, and also maybe a big middle finger to the St. Louis producer.
Meanwhile, Central Cee and Lil Baby unite the UK and US on one of the more unexpected collaborations of this year. Their flows and sounds contrast starkly on first listen, but they actually fit well together: Cench’s emphatic delivery and Baby’s melodic flows complement each other well.
