Gunna delivers his latest album “a Gift & a Curse.” There are no features on the album, yet Gunna keeps the project interesting and engaging throughout its duration. Cryptically, Young Thug, Wheezy, Metro Boomin, and other Atlanta artists and producers posted a QR code on social media when Gunna’s album dropped last night: the QR code leads users to a website called Business is Business where there is a countdown posted. Strange.
Meanwhile, BabyDrill, 21 Savage, and Young Nudy team up on the Atlanta anthem “Slight Dub.” Each of the three artists controls a different sector of rap: BabyDrill is the hot, up and coming artist, 21 Savage occupies the mainstream, and Young Nudy has a stronghold on the underground. It’s very cool to see all of these artists link up, hopefully this isn’t the last time.
