His transition to jazz-influenced rap has been smooth: it was well received by his pre-existing audience and has exposed him to newer audiences alike. On his latest single, “Lets Get On Dey Ass,” he reverts back more to the rap side of things, using tasteful autotune as he flows on top of big synths and 808s. Yachty’s reign prevails.
Meanwhile, Rich The Kid drops his highly anticipated album “Life’s A Gamble.” Alongside notable features from Offset, French Montana, and Peso Pluma, the album feels like one of his most cohesive projects to date. He and Offset show off their innate chemistry on one of the album’s best tracks “Not In The Mood,” but this is just one of the many exciting tracks from the project.
