Big Sean continues his steady string of new music with his latest track “It Is What It Is” featuring Gunna. The track brings out the best of both rappers, as Sean kicks things off with cool, confident flows before Gunna steps in and turns up on the second verse. The production is lined with brass-like synths, accentuated by hard hitting drums and a groovy bass line. We’re lucky to have this track for our rotation over the holiday weekend.
Meanwhile, Cordae and Anderson .Paak show their effortless chemistry on the new track “Summer Drop.” It’s not unlike their previous collaborations “Two Tens” and “RNP” as they trade off bars with impressive ease. What’s more, J. Cole is on production, laying down an infectious chopped up jazz sample. Let’s hope these three have more in store for us.
