Perfection is in the details and it’s rarely ever achieved. But on his latest album, Kendrick Lamar comes as close as humanly possible. Kendrick’s an artist who stays up to date with current aesthetics in hip-hop, but he rarely follows them, preferring to usher in his individuality with socially-conscious lyrics and nuanced production, which come to paint a vivid picture of Kendrick’s perspective of the world and his keen ear for sonic perfection. It’s an album that needs to be listened to all the way through, so dive in now.
Next, DaBaby drops his latest tracks, one with Moneybagg Yo and the other with Pooh Shiesty, who is currently still behind bars. He delivers “Wig,” his track with Moneybagg Yo, with a classic visual, which sees Baby team up with his go-to production team “Reel Goats.”
Finally, Post Malone returns with a brand new single featuring Roddy Ricch. The two hit makers rarely miss the mark, and that holds true here. However, it will be interesting to see if the single’s numbers dwarf in comparison to Kendrick’s.
