DJ Khaled sure knows how to make a grand entrance. From his pre-album marketing, you could tell he had something big coming. His new album “God Did” just dropped with an all-star tracklist and it’s got different flavors for everyone: upbeat, trap songs with the likes of Lil Durk and Nardo Wick and slower, melodic songs with the likes of Future, SZA, and Juice WRLD. Amid Offset’s legal battles with his record label Quality Control (they’re fighting over control to the rights to his solo career), he stays dropping music. His latest single “CODE” features Moneybagg Yo and the two show their uncanny chemistry, trading off fiery verses. We’ll see how the legal battle resolves itself while Offset has been busier than ever as of late.
Finally, JID delivers his latest album “The Forever Story.” The highly anticipated album comes off the back of its two lead singles “Dance Now” and “Surround Sound.” If those tracks were telling, then the whole album will be fantastic. We’ll just have to dive in and see.
