Even though Foxy Brown is currently serving a one-year sentence at Rikers Island for violating her probation, she still has some legal issues to work out. Foxy was supposed to be in court on Friday to answer to assault charges stemming from an allegation that she threw her phone at her neighbor, but Foxy refused to get on the bus for the court appearance. The judge then ordered the hearing for Tuesday, October 16 and if she refused to get on the bus, officers would cuff her and force her.
She finally appeared in court on Tuesday and plead not guilty to assaulting her neighbor with a Blackberry. The neighbor claims that the phone hit her in the face, bruising her eye and chipping her tooth. If convicted of the felony assault charges, Foxy could face up to seven years behind bars. Foxy says she’s innocent and that she is a victim of her own celebrity.
