The latest single from the Superfly soundtrack.

We’re oughly two-weeks from the release of Superfly, the remake of the ‘70s blaxploitation film, and the accompanying musical floodgates have been opened. With the movie’s soundtrack executively produced and prominently featuring Future, it’s poised to be the perfect sonic complementary piece for this funky, soulful movie. Today, Future is joined by Atlanta upstart, Yung Bans, on the movie’s latest single, “Bag”.

Considering that Bans existed at hip-hop’s margins as little as a year ago, this placement is an incredible look for the “Lonely” rapper, and further evidences Atlanta’s fraternal connection and penchant for lifting artists up. Unsurprisingly, “Bag” trends more superficial, as the content revolves around getting with the baddest girls and, of course, getting the bag. Doused in haziness and spaced-out trap beats, “Bag” paints a stark contrast with the movie’s previously released singles, uniquely texturizing this soundtrack.
