Premiering on The Weeknd’s Beats 1 radio show.

The looming question mark over Lil Uzi Vert’s musical future has been boldening with each passing day, imparting as much uncertainty as frustration from the lacking output. Although he dropped, finally, two new singles recently, “Sanguine Paradise” and “That’s A Rack,” the release date for Eternal Atake is still unknown and the reported label disputes aren’t exactly calming.

However, if there’s anyone who can free some music from Philly’s own, it’s Uzi’s peer and collaborator, Gunna. This past Saturday, April 27th, the two played a new song of theirs, “Valentino,” over The Weeknd’s Beats 1 radio show, Memento Mori.

Produced by Metro Boomin’, “Valentino” features a hauntingly beautiful flute-accented beats that orbits signature Metro 808s, creating a diverse yet familiar soundscape for Uzi and Gunna to body.

With a new Uzi verse to gush over, the anticipation for his full musical liberation swells — but we will gladly take what we can get.
