Hip Hop Mothers Launch New Talk Show

The mothers of rappers T-Pain, Lil Wayne and R&B singer Ne-Yo have teamed up to create a new talk show entitled “Dinner Table Discussions”. T-Pain’s mother Aliyah “Mama Pain” Najm, Lil Wayne’s mother Jacida Carter and Ne-Yo’s mother H. Loraine Smith will all host the show together.

Dinner Table Discussions aims to present a quality and informative program. According to the mothers, their aim is to create a show that will enhance their viewers “educationally, economically, socially and culturally,” by discussing current events, important topics, interviews and feature segments. T-Pain’s mother, Aliyah “Mama Pain” Najm, recently spoke on the new show and explained their vision saying:

“Our vision is to be a premier talk show that delivers a creative and informative format that assists viewers in educating and solving challenging issues. There are situations in our communities, cities, states and even nationwide that people have made us aware of and they want to resolve the issues, but they just don’t know where to get help or how to properly handle certain issues.”

The mothers are still shopping for a network, but Dinner Table Discussions is scheduled to launch in 2010.
