Serving as the second official single from The Kenner Loop, which will drop December 4th, “Nothing to Something” finds Roddy sharing the story of how he came from humble beginnings to his now paramount status as one of New Orleans most respected MCs. Shot by the talented DMF Films, the video exemplifies the essence of the Blair Norf produced track and even features a cameo by fellow Nola rapper Trademark Da Skydiver. Skyzoo's going to be releasing his highly-anticipated forthcoming studio album Music for My Friends soon (get it on June 23rd) and the album is said to feature plenty of guests, including Jadakiss, Black Thought, Bilal, !LLmind, Apollo Brown, Jahlil Beats and more. Pretty sweet stuff already, folks. But Sky is treating fans with a little sampler plate of what's to come. Jay Z's "Glory" (a tribute to his daughter Blue Ivy Carter) was penned back in 2012 and now with his Tidal streaming service Jay is making the visuals exclusive to users only. As of right now, unless you've got a subscription to Tidal, you cannot watch the video. However, we're sure in a few minutes it'll be available online for your viewing pleasure.
