Kanye’s Ego to Arrive in a Book

      Kanye West is literally following in the footsteps of his mother, who published Raising Kanye earlier this year. West announced on his blog that he has merged forces with author J. Sakiya Sandifer to pen his literary debut titled Thank You And You’re Welcome! The book is being pitched as an entertaining volume of “Kanye-isms,” a compilation of humorous and insightful philosophies and anecdotes that helped the hip-hop megastar achieve his success.

      According to the publisher’s Web site, the book “captures the same wit, playful irony, and piercing insight found abundant in his lyrics.”

      Kanye says of his book, “My book is a guide to creating then celebrating your moment!” 

      Thank You And You’re Welcome! will hit bookshelves on December 15, 2008, but it’s available for pre-order now. The first 500 books sold will be autographed by Kanye West.
