Released alongside an official music video.
Much like the south at large, Memphis is a fertile hip-hop breeding ground. From Young Dolph to Blac Youngsta, the Tennessee metropolis births a wide gamut of stars. One of those is the promising young talent, Key Glock, who’s Dolph’s protege and is signed to his Paper Route Empire imprint. Delivering his first single of the year, Key Glock has come through with an absolute heater, “Off The Porch.”
Glock’s inaugural 2021 offering excels on the back of the ominous CHASETHEMONEY production. The sticky beat rolls out the red carpet for Key to assert his menacing presence and fluid flow; the synergy between the two facilitates a captivating product.
As if the song by itself wasn’t reason enough to keep Key Glock on your radar, “Off The Porch” comes equipped with an official music video. Toeing the line between minimalist and gaudy, the visual encapsulate the track’s gritty nature by showing the 23-year-old rapper spitting into a suspended microphone (a la Michael Buffer hosting a title fight) as his red hoodie, yellow Corvette, and iced out accessories are cloaked in darkness. The director also employs a collection of subtle edits — such as his Bart Simpson chain coming to life — to give the “Off The Porch” video a dynamic finish.
Key Glock is poised for a 2021 takeover. Check out the first step in his master plan below:
