While there are plenty of hall of fames throughout New York City, Queens officials are hoping to add another one dedicated to the storied borough.  The New York Daily News is reporting that Queens officials are proposing a general exhibit dedicated to famed residents of various Queens neighborhoods.  Amongst names being thrown around are baseball great Jackie Robinson, Lena Horne, Ray Romano, Donald Trump, Martin Scorsese and John Leguizamo.   Those in the Hip Hop community would also be welcomed into the Hall of Fame, as a website already profiles Russell Simmons.  If the hall of fame goes as planned, Run DMC, LL Cool J and potentially Nas and 50 Cent would get their respective spot on that list.  Last year, the intersection of 205th Street and Hollis was renamed “Run DMC JMJ way” in honor of the late Jam Master Jay. Queens already boast a Hip Hop museum in Hollis, but borough officials hope a general Hall of Fame would increase tourism.
