His second album of the year.

Atlanta’s NoCap is among the latest to erupt from the fertile hip-hop region. While he’s currently dealing with legal issues, stemming from a September reckless endangerment arrest, the 21-year-old artist understands that he’s breathing rarified air, and needs to capitalize accordingly. Today, he’s come through with second project of the year, The Hood Dictionary.

Coming in at a loaded 16-tracks, the new NoCap project is largely a featureless effort, save for assists from Quando Rondo on “Brag Different” and Lil Durk and Jagged Edge on the “Ghetto Angels (Remix).” The Hood Dictionary follows The Backend Child.

NoCap’s legal situation might still be murky at the moment, but what’s resoundingly clear is his work ethic, ambition, and talent — all distilled into the fibers of The Hood Dictionary.
