Partying According To Waka Flocka…

You know it’s a party when Gucci Mane daps you up before a club walk-through.  It’s also a party when you enter the club by signing a Nick Minaj look-alike’s boobs.  Of course you then have to celebrate by spilling martini glasses while a robotic version of Fozzie Bear sings a hook.  That’s exactly what Waka Flocka Flame does in the new music video for “Grove St. Party” from his album Flockaveli.

Waka Flocka Flame Drops Flockaveli 1.5; Exclusively Produced by Southside

Waka Flocka Flame has finally dropped his new mixtape, Flockaveli 1.5, after a string of delays. The tape is the sequel to his watershed debut album Flockaveli and the prequel to his forthcoming album Flockaveli 2. Teaming up with Southside and Metro Boomin, Atlanta's most in demand production duo, Waka shares "Blue or Red" from his forthcoming Flockaveli 1.5 mixtape. Sure, it's not quite the ad nauseam promised Flockaveli 2 -- which is intermittently delayed -- but Flockaveli 1.5 is looking to hold us over until Waka gets all this label nonsense sorted. New Music: Waka Flocka – “Workin'”

I was worried for a second there. Waka Flocka Flame -- the once unassuming weed carrer (or shooter) in Gucci Mane's 1017 Brick Squad camp -- released his debut album Flockaveli five years ago and has been dropping turds since. He was supposed to come out with the second installment, like, ten times already. But, sadly, it's constantly pushed back. (Maybe with good reason?) Everything that was going to be on Flockaveli 2 was scrapped and now we're getting this new track called "Workin'" which sounds like classic Waka. Basically that means I am happily satisfied. Video: Waka Flocka Flame – “Game On” feat. Good Charlotte

Apparently Waka Flocka Flame released a song out with Good Charlotte. In case you don’t know who Good Charlotte is, they’re a pop-punk band from the early 2000s. They had songs like “Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous” go gold in 2002 – further revealing my old age. They’ve pretty much been on hiatus since 2011 and haven’t recorded a new album since 2010. How do I know this? Because I’ve used my Googles. Anyway, this song is for that new Pixels film coming out later this month. Now, the tandem of Waka Flocka, a rapper who is basically losing more and more of his street cred as I type this thing out, and a seemingly irrelevant early 2000s pop group have record a music video for this "Game On" track. Honestly, when I heard this track back last month I was baffled but now, hearing it over again -- along with an equally nauseating video -- I'm convinced this is the worst thing to happen to rap in 2015 thus far. Uhhh, what? You're as confused as I am. Apparently Waka Flocka Flame has a song out with Good Charlotte. In case you don't know who Good Charlotte is, they're a pop-punk band from the early 2000s. They had songs like "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous" go gold in 2002--further revealing my age. They've pretty much been on hiatus since 2011 and haven't recorded a new album since 2010. How do I know this? Because I've used my Googles. But for some strange reason they've reunited (I guess?) with one of Atlanta's long forgotten rappers, Waka Flocka (Flockaveli 2 should be out sometime soon, I think. All I know is I still love the first Flockaveli.) Also another baffling thing about this entire scheme here is that it's for the soundtrack of a movie called Pixels, which stars Adam Sandler and Kevin James (how exciting, right?) that's due out July 24th. "Game On" just reminds me how far we've traveled since Run-D.M.C. and Aerosmith. Listen to "Game On" after the jump... if you want.
