In 2020, Virginia-based producer Hugo Black made plenty of noise and he isn’t slowing down in 2021. His sound is versatile – on some tracks he lets melodic elements guide his beats, but for the most part it’s his drums that do the heavy lifting. His trap beats revolve around dark, yet catchy melodies, and he carefully creates variation in his production by filtering out higher frequencies.
Hugo’s style works perfectly with Lil Eazzyy, the Chicago native who has been churning out hits since last year. His voice floats on top of Hugo’s production, while his flows will leave you wanting more. Needless to say, you can expect Hugo Black and Lil Eazzyy to continue dropping hits this year.
