Kelly was slapped with child pornography charges stemming from a video tape that allegedly had him doing the do with an underage girl. Fast forward to 2007, R. Kelly’s career is soaring, he’s making hit songs and contributing to other artists’ hit songs as well. But activists in Los Angeles aren’t having it. They’re organizing a protest against Kelly during his L.A. show on Friday at the Forum.
"It’s like pulling teeth to get people to talk about this," L.A. activist Jasmyne Cannick told the L.A. Times. "It’s a challenge to get the black community to even discuss it. . . . They’re acting like he doesn’t have 14 counts of child pornography against him. . . . We’re all acting like we don’t have daughters and nieces and little sisters. Everyone is making money, and everyone seems OK with him. People really need to wake up."
Kelly’s case is still in the books but has been hampered by constant delays. A new trial date has yet to be announced, but Kelly faces 15 years in prison and a $100,000 fine.

honestly r kelly think he’s helpin young girls. he does have a problem, but i love him anyway. At least he waited until the recent girl was of age..But kelly has the 80z baby syndrome..but its different for older ppl..he really thinks he’s sticking it to the man..lol.
