This may come as a surprise to backpackers: Saigon picked Young Jeezy as one of his favorite MCs in a recent MTV interview. The interview was part of a new debate and bid to compile a list of the hottest MCs.

Saigon, who once dissed ‘drug rappers,’ was asked whether he was contradicting himself by picking Jeezy—a well known trapper. “I think he did it. But if you gonna blame him for doing it you gotta blame everybody,” said Saigon, “because there’s dudes that built their careers from hustling.”

      Jay-Z comes to mind.

“If you tell them to shut that down, they don’t have nothing else to talk about cause that’s pretty much all they know. Sometimes I think it can be a little bit less, not as forced down people’s throats.”

Sai explained that another reason he digs Jeezy is because of his originality. “He came in his own lane and brought his sound. He made that ad lib thing really popular and now you see everybody’s doing it. Jim Jones is doing it. Uncle Murder does it all out.”

…and those ad libs, yeaaaah, those ad libs are everything.

“His adlibs mean more than the actual main tracks. That’s what really catches you, like, daaamn…Alright and I see a lot of people (meaning Jim Jones and Uncle Murder) bit his swagger and took that shit and ran with it.”

He went on to say that Jeezy’s marketing game is top notch. “He’s very innovative and he knows how to make great records.”

  1. the only thing hot about jezzy is his adlibs. He’s a one-trick pony. A few of his tracks are hot NOW – but rhyming about trapping is getting old.

  2. Rhyming about trapping is dying out but if you ain’t never been thru nothing then you don’t have a story to tell so of course people spit about what they been thru. That’s why these bubblicous ass rappers ain’t MC’s they R the definition of 1 hitta kwittas
