Duane “Dog” Chapman has continued to apologize for using the N-word in a conversation with his son. Dog, whose “Bounty Hunter” show was canceled by A&E following the controversy, told Fox News that he now understands the implication of using the racial epithet.

“I will try never, ever, ever to use that word again…I didn’t want to have to explain to America outside my family and people that I love that know me what that means.”

He added: “I thought that I was cool enough in the black world to be able to use that word as a brother to a brother. I’m not. I didn’t really know until three or four days ago what that meant to black people. Of course, I know the story, and I know America’s story. But I never realized that that’s like stabbing a black person in the heart. I would never do that to any kind of person. I’ve always taken pride to be the white guy that can talk to the black people, that can refer to them truly as a brother from a different mother.”

Dog conceded that he needs to increase his vocabulary to avoid using offensive language in the future. “I need to get a greater vocabulary than what I have and when I get mad and my brain searches for a word. I have to find different words and to do that you need to have more of an education,” said 54-year old Chapman who only made it to 7th grade.

  1. thats what happen when white people dont want their own. he’s too trailer park trash to be a “nigga” (and to be accepted by white people) but his excuses are lame as fuck can someone buy this honkey a publicist. all this really doesnt matter he’ll be back to fame in 3 months just like don imus. but that shows u y his ass aint never n da hood tryn 2 find a fugitive but his bitch ass bhind closed doors sayin nigga so freely get some balls dawg fuck dog

  2. BLACK PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!
    It starts with us!!!
I know we don’t use it in the same sense a white person does, but come on, we’re calling eachother “niggaz” everyday, not realizing we’re DEMORALIZING ourselves. “What’s up nigga?”, has now become a everyday phrase used amongst eachother. So much that you’re now hearing the in video games and cartoons. Before we check the white man, we need to CHECK, and RESPECT ourselves.
