Atlanta's iLoveMakonnen is teaming up with Los Angeles' super producer DJ Mustard for "Second Chance," the first single from his forthcoming iLoveMakonnen 2. Arriving November 20th, Makonnen's latest project -- and follow-up to last year's breakthrough EP, iLoveMakonnen -- will be his first commercial release after signing to Drake's OVO imprint. Check out Makonnen's "Second Chance" after the jump.
DJ Mustard's newest cut for 2015, "Why'd You Call?" is a song built on a repetitive synth run, but it's also got all the cascading dynamics of a big EDM fest. In addition to the switch-up in production, the track also has some star power thanks to its two guests Ty Dolla $ign and ILOVEMAKONNEN. Listen after the jump.
Poor T-Pain, the dude really does get the short end of the stick when it comes to this hip-hop sh*t. But this new track "Make That Shit Work", produced by DJ Mustard and featuring Juicy J makes a strong argument for Pain's relevancy in the 2010s. Judging by the sound of "Make That Sh*t Work" Pain definitely may be sitting on some radio/club gold here. Listen after the jump and be the judge yourself.
After unveiling the visuals for her new single "FourFiveSeconds," Rihanna's folk pop song is getting a DJ Mustard treatment. And we're actually thankfully to hear the trademark "Mustard on the beat, hoe!" drop here, because the original is hugely disappointing and utterly cheesy. With some assistance from DJ Iknoso, DJ Freedo, and Shuck, Mustard has turned Rihanna's "FourFiveSeconds" into a club-ready track. Listen after the jump.
