With his new album 2014 Forest Hills Drive in stores now (stream it in full here) J. Cole appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman last night (Dec. 10th) to deliver an emotionally-charged performance of his track "Be Free." The song, which Cole released back in August and doesn't appear on his new album, is a tribute to Mike Brown and Eric Garner, two men who were killed in the hands of police. 2014 Forest Hills Drive is expected to sell 320-350k in its first week, but that isn't even on J. Cole's mind at the moment. “Album in stores now. 2014 Forest Hills Drive. No thank you on projections. Just did Letterman, I’ll never forget it. Thank you God,” he tweeted.
