On Saturday night July 12th in the summer of the two thousand and fourteenth year Joe Budden signed himself up for a roast. Then he got heckled, and quit. An event named Total Slaughter showcased a battle rap legend, Hollow Da Don, throwing bars at the reality television artist in a bid for internet notoriety. Video after the jump.

Son of Greg is a thoughtful story about the origins of Royce and his current concerns. But the video, amusingly, features interludes wherein Jalen Rose (Nickel Nine's buddy?) talking to Joe Budden about his prep for the soon-to-be legendary battle with Hollow Da Don. Joe seems confident and ready with his Slaughterhouse friends backing him all the way.

Joe Budden explains his introduction to songwriting through battling and why he is so energized to take on battle champ Hollow Da Don. Get through the Elliott Wilson laugh and there are some somber anecdotes that define Joe. All bets are off for the pay-per-view event starring Joe as Goliath and the lesser known Hollow as David.
