New Music: Jeezy – “Pastor Young’s Letter”

By now you know that Jeezy is slated to drop a new project later this year. The yet-to-be-titled project will officially drop on November 13th and Jeezy's keeping fans afloat with new heat. First there was the single, "GOD," which was later remixed by arch nemesis and Trap God, Gucci Mane. And today Jeezy is looking to continue that streak of solid new material with "Pastor Young's Letter," a sermon of sorts over Zaytoven's impressive piano-laden instrumental. (It's worth noting that Zay also regularly plays the organ for his local church.) In case you were wondering where Jeezy would be heading with this forthcoming project, he delivers a spoken word here. Although it may be difficult to sit through and perhaps you'll never listen to this track ever again, it's worth giving a spin to get a good idea of Jeezy's current headspace. After the jump.

Jeezy recently released "GOD," a track from his forthcoming project. And today we're getting a Gucci Mane remix of the track. This doesn't happen often, as the two do not see eye-to-eye (and haven't since 2005), but this is a rare moment when they're linked up together. Listen to Jeezy's "GOD" featuring Gucci Mane after the jump.

Free Offset. That's all. I can pretty much end the writeup there. But, because I'm no lazy journalist (dedication!) I'll go ahead and give you some background info. Offset, 1/3 of Migos, is currently incarcerated (yes, again) for a probation violation. While he's locked up Migos continue to tour and wait for the inevitable release of Offset. In the meantime the whole QC team is sharing "Work" featuring ATLien Jeezy -- even though Jeezy has been beefing with Atlanta's de facto Trap God, Gucci Mane, who as you know is cool with Migos. Anyway, this is "Work" and remember: Free Offset! Listen after the jump.

Yep, the song that just won't go away is back for round three. First time around was the OG version, which prompted a lush, high-end video remake. Now, over a month later we are being treated (or tortured, depending on who you are) with a... part two? Feels more like a remix. Anyway, this one features the recently released Meek Mill and Atlanta's trapper Jeezy. Peep the part two to O.T. Genasis' "CoCo" after the jump.

Thanksgiving is here! Thanksgiving is here! But it's not all fun and games and stuffing your face with food. While we sit comfortably in our humble abode with our loved ones, celebrating with a feast, there are those who go out and make sure to help those in need. Sadly, however, rappers aren't exactly the first profession that'd cross your mind as being "helpful" as these are merely gangsters, drug dealers, and entertainers, right? Wrong. For example Birdman and Cash Money are participating in their 20th annual Turkey Giveaway this week. And that's not all, as rappers like Jeezy, T.I., and Ludacris regularly find themselves helping local Atlanta natives enjoy their Thanksgiving as well. So, we here at iHipHop decided we'd attempt to dispel the myths of rappers being careless and lazy, and showcase their good deeds, by assembling a picture slideshow of them giving back on Thanksgiving. Enjoy and happy Thanksgiving!
