To celebrate the release of their album “Self Made Vol. 2,” Rick Ross’ Maybach Music Group set up a pop-up shop at Alife in NYC. Ross, Stalley, Meek Mill, Omarion, and Wale were all in attendance, signing albums and meeting fans. During the event, the group also performed a couple of tracks off the album. On Wednesday May 2, 2012, Rick Ross filled the conference room at the Eventi Hotel in midtown Manhattan to hold a press conference and make some major announcements on behalf of Maybach Music. Rick and Diddy first announced that French Montana’s album, “Excuse My French,” will drop on July 17th. French’s next single will reportedly feature Rick Ross, Drake & Lil Wayne. It was also announced that Meek Mill’s upcoming mixtape, “Dreamchaser 2” will drop on May 7th and be followed by his debut album, “Dreams & Nightmares” on August 28th. Rozay also announced that the MMG compilation “Self Made v.2,” will drop June 26th and then announced that his next solo album “God Forgives, I Don’t Will” hit shelves July 31st. After weeks of speculations, Ross also announced the latest signee to MMG – Omarion. This needless to say announcement came as a surprise to most.
