Rock Steady Crew

On Sunday July 28, 2013, the world renowned Rock Steady Crew held it’s 36th Anniversary celebration in Central Park, NYC. The event featured a reunion performance by Pete Rock & CL Smooth, as well as performances by Brand Nubian, Cormega, Special Ed, Craig G, The Arsonists, Homeboy Sandman and more. The show also featured DJ sets from DJ Premier, Tony Touch, Evil Dee, and DJ Eclipse, DJ JS-1. Of course, the highlight of the event was an incredible breakdance performance from the entire Rock Steady Crew. Click through this slideshow to see all of the highlights of that day’s event. This year marked the legendary The Rock Steady Crew’s 35th Anniversary. To celebrate, they threw a concert in Lincoln Park in Newark NJ. Crazy Legs, Popmaster Fabel, Redman, Mr Cheeks, Torae, Nitty Scott, Maffew Ragazino, TSA, Rasheed Chappell, Rah DIgga, Consequnece, DJ Evil Dee, DJ JS 1, and The Beatnuts were in attendance.
