Watch Kendrick Lamar Perform a To Pimp a Butterfly Medley on Colbert

Kendrick Lamar, who closed out Comedy Central's The Colbert Report, is fittingly one of Stephen Colbert's first ever musical guests as he takes the seat on his new talk show, Colbert. Here Lamar performs a medley of a few choice cuts from his excellent To Pimp a Butterfly album, which dropped earlier this year. (For many, this is still the best rap album of 2015.) He does "Wesley's Theory", "Momma", "King Kunta" and "u". Check out the full performance from Kendrick Lamar and his backing band after the jump.

Amid all the chaos happening outside, Kendrick Lamar managed to perform at Hot 97's Summer Jam concert in New Jersey yesterday. During his set he did To Pimp a Butterfly cuts "The Blacker the Berry", "King Kunta", and "Hood Politics" for the first tim livee. You can watch a video of the performance after the jump, via Hot 97. Schoolboy Q also came out to do "Collard Greens" and "Studio."

Kanye West dropped his street banger "All Day" in spectacular fashion (at the BRIT Awards while surrounded by mad goons dressed in all black and flamethrowers) and it appears as though one Kendrick Lamar will be appearing on the remix of the track. That's right, the To Pimp a Butterfly emcee is on the remix of 'Ye's "All Day." No word as to when the official, version drops but we're guessing it's just gonna drop outta nowhere -- given the latest music release trends of the past couple years. You can check out a snippet below, which contains a lyrics from Kendrick that goes: "Chi-Town, we play for the free base/These days don't believe what police say/DJs and the b-boys rush it." Get at it!
