For the sixth episode of Saturday Night Live's 40th anniversary season Top Dawg Entertainment's star pupil Kendrick Lamar hit the stage as the musical guest alongside guest host Woody Harrelson. Kendrick performed two songs, one being his radio hit, The Isley Brothers sampled "i" and Jay Rock's "Pay for It". For "i" Kendrick took the stage with unkempt hair and blacked-out contacts (see: above photo), making reference to Method Man whose debut record Tical was released 20 years ago that day. It appears as though Jay Rock is up next in the Top Dawg Entertainment camp. After low-key releasing the rap song of the year when everyone was least expecting in "Parental Advisory" he followed that up with the Kendrick Lamar featured track "Pay for It" which, needless to say, was also fire.
