Tyga’s triumphant resurgence continues.
2018 marked a resurgent year for the once dominant Tyga. The Compton-born artist issued a collection of a la carté hit tracks, including the omnipresent “Taste” featuring Offset, which currently sits at over 491mm Spotify streams, “Dip” featuring Nicki Minaj, and “SWISH”; he also released his sixth studio album in Kyoto.
The calendar year that returned Tyga to his once pop-star status might be behind us now, but that doesn’t mean that Tyga is easing his grip on the game’s neck now that we’re in 2019. Today, Tyga comes through with his first single of the year, “Floss In The Bank”.
Produced by D.A., who architected such 2018 hits as Kodak Black’s “ZEZE” and the aforementioned “Taste”, “Floss In The Bank” features a catchy, upbeat instrumental whose club-like essence is accented by engrossing samples to create a textured offering. Continuing his proven palatable formula, Tyga employs all of the hallmarks of a hit track: discussing his enviable net worth and lifestyle–and, of course, that catchy D.A. beat.
