The Race to the White House: Round 1
Iowa Democratic Caucasus will begin today at 7:00pm CT sharp, kicking off the norminations for and the path to the Presidency. The Republican Caucacus will begin in Wyoming on January 5th with the first Primaries on January 8th in New Hampshire.
A strong showing in Iowa sends a message to the national party leaders. Each party seeks a strong contender for the White House, and a good response from Iowans helps cement a candidate’s chances to win the national nomination.
The Democratic Candidates are:
Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, John Edwards, Joe Biden, Chris Dodd, Mike Gravel, Dennis Kucinich, and Bill Richardson.
The Republican Candidates are:
Mike Huckabee, Rudy Giuliani, Duncan Hunter, John McCain, Ron Paul, Mitt Romney, Fred Thompson, and Tom Tancredo
