Video: Maino Feat. Waka Flocka “Mobbin”

I was worried for a second there. Waka Flocka Flame -- the once unassuming weed carrer (or shooter) in Gucci Mane's 1017 Brick Squad camp -- released his debut album Flockaveli five years ago and has been dropping turds since. He was supposed to come out with the second installment, like, ten times already. But, sadly, it's constantly pushed back. (Maybe with good reason?) Everything that was going to be on Flockaveli 2 was scrapped and now we're getting this new track called "Workin'" which sounds like classic Waka. Basically that means I am happily satisfied. Waka's been dropping some heat lately. As part of his I Can't Rap series, Waka has been releasing new freestyles and today we have another one for you. This time around we find Waka Flocka Flame freestyling over Yo Gotti's "Fu*k You". Check it out after the jump.

The Brooklyn artists rap over vintage beats from when New York rap mattered to other people and not just them. It's freshened up by Troy Ave, weighed down by Maino. These two are on a very small crusade to make rap regional long after it became democratic and internet-based. It's a strange effort and egocentric but definitely slams the reminder home in 3 plus minutes of East Coast nostalgia. Check the track after the jump.

This track is too turnt up, hence the title.  Waka Flocka is consistently building a rep as a rapper who's truly on the forefront of the sound-merger between Hip-Hop and EDM.  In the past few months, we have seem him collaborate with producers who have made a name for themselves in this space such as Steve Aoki and Girl Talk.  Now, Waka has linked up with Flosstradamus for a track that will find its home on the 22 Jump Street soundtrack.

Maino and Mack Wilds recreate the classic 2Pac record "All Bout U" for their latest single. Pretty sacrilegious if you ask me.
